How long have you been in Austin?
Since 1979 – 30 years.
What do you do during the day?
Work for the City of Austin Office of the City Auditor
How long have you been a member of FBSP?
This is my 3rd year.
What does Barton Springs Pool mean to you?
The absolute heart and soul of Austin. It is a healing place where you can always run into a friend or make a new friend.  Austinites and tourists from all over the world come to visit the Springs because it is such an energizing place!
Favorite local band or artist?
Warren Hood, The Bellevue Gang, Mt. Righteous (Grapevine, Tx)
You came to Austin because?
Transferred here because of work but wound up living on a 700 acre rent free ranch on Spicewood Springs Road so I went back to school to work on post graduate work.  Spent a lot of time exploring the Balcones Headlands and throwing wild parties.
Are you involved in any other volunteer projects?
The Heritage Society, The Austin Clean Water Program, former Commissioners on the Zoning and Platting Commission, and current Boardmember on the Board of Adjustment.
What neighborhood do you live in?
Lived for years in the Fairview Terrace neighborhood adjacent to Travis Heights and served as a 3 term Neighborhood Association President.  I now live further down Congress in the Circle S Ridge subdivision behind the Pleasant Hill Library.
Favorite moment volunteering for FBSP?
Running the Magical Mystery Miracle Healing Springs Membership Tent this whole Summer.  Got to meet some wonderful folks and old friends.

Like being reborn…
Any hidden talents?
All my talents are open and available instantaneously when called upon!
Besides BSP, where is your favorite hangout in Austin?
Hill’s Café on South Congress,  Waterloo Records, Alamo Drafthouse, and my home.
Most odd job you’ve ever had?
Other than a lifeguard at a Nudist Colony, the most odd job I have ever had was being a good husband.
Favorite quote?
From T.S. Eliot: “We shall not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”
College attended/degree in?
Southern Millionaires University (SMU)in Dallas and The University of Texas at Tyler

Bodington Ale
Favorite philosopher?
Nietzsche: “If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”
Favorite authors?
Thucydides, Dante, Chaucer.
