Friends of Barton Springs Pool had their 2014 Fall Picnic at the Zilker Rock Garden where members, volunteers, supporters and families convened to celebrate a great season of cleaning the pool, recognize the work of our board, volunteers, and business supporters, and chat about this year’s accomplishments.
Courtesy of Chip McElroy at Live Oak Brewing Company, we had some tasty beer. Jonathan Beall also brought the professional grade gas grill to cook some tasty dinner grub. After dinner, we raffled some pool passes, some wonderful gift certificates from good folks at Whole Earth Provision Company, and two beautiful copper cups provided by Jonathan Beall, founder and craftsman with Sertodo Copper. To conclude the evening, Karen Kocher provided a private screening of the “Living Springs” documentary.
